Outstanding 3-screen cinema, conveniently situated in the heart of Henley-on-Thames, very close to a large car park - £3 for 3 hours parking.

The staff are all friendly and very helpful. They make you feel at home immediately.

From the cosy coffee shop located on the ground floor to the cafe bar on the first floor, the Regal Picturehouse feels both luxurious and homely.

Both the ground floor and first-floor cafe seating areas afford pleasant views of the surrounding town. The tea and coffee we purchased tasted very nice indeed.

The screening rooms, like everything else, are kept scrupulously clean. The seats are comfortable, with plenty of leg room.

The sound is loud enough but not too loud and crystal clear. The adverts before the film, not too long at all.

The toilets are clean and well-appointed and offer up hand lotion as well as liquid soap. A nice touch.

There is a customer lift as well as stairs to the first floor.

There is an option to become a member, which as well as offering plenty of benefits with regards to the cinema, also includes discounts for patronising local businesses in the town.

Regal Picturehouse, Henley, comes very highly recommended indeed.

Absolutely awful customer service. As long standing local cinema goers we took out last years membership offer they ran, £70 for 10 'free' tickets. Twice now, we have not been able to book using these tickets for some sort of technical reason with a bar code not showing up on the website or app. In November we had to go out to the car during the film to get more coats and a blanket as they had not bothered to turn the heating on and when asked, they turned it on and said it takes a few hours to worm up.

We went to a film last night that had 4 other people in it and despite showing the staff, including the manager, the membership details on an email, iPhone app and web, they said the app was not working correctly as my membership number and bar code should appear. They said my only option was to pay £27 for the two tickets. Their manager also said another customer on that 'deal' had recently had the same issue and on that occasion he had called their head office to sort it out for the customer without success so they were fully aware of the issue.

Technical issues happen but this is twice now and the manager has been absolutely useless. All he could do was give us a head office number to call the next day. Apparently he would 'get fired' if he just let us in, took a note of our details and contacted head office himself the next day to take the two free tickets off the account. He assured us I would get an immediate full refund on my debit card.

So next day, about 1 hour waiting for their phone to get answered only to get a call centre on a bad quality phone line who said they had no link to the actual cinema payment system so could not refund my debit card but they could send me a bank transfer that would take 3-4 weeks.

Its good to support small local cinemas but I am sure Vue, Odeon etc would have helped out immediately

Very good, broad-based programme of film, from across the cinematic spectrum. Always excellent, friendly service from the staff. Drinks from the bar, quality snacks – why wouldn't you go?

A very good cinema experience. Slight chaotic ticket queue / bar on top of the entrance doors for the theatres. Good range of beverages. The cinema seats are more Premium Economy than Business Class and the theatre itself is very warm. But good atmosphere and convenient parking.

The seats are so awful I had to abandon my film with severe cramp.
Otherwise has the potential for a nice local independent cinema.

A great picture house with great ambience and very central to Henley on Thames. The staffs are helpful and the display very inviting. There’s a pay and display car park in front of the location that is so convenient.
