Nice little tucked away place. It’s a unique setting. Make sure you call in to book a table even if it’s just for two people. I tried vegetarian burger. Was really happy that they have gluten free option for burger! Also had a nice mocha and a chocolate brownie (orange and chocolate). Reasonable price wise. Friendly staff.

After your meal, you can go for a nice walk around the area.

This is an excellent place. You have to book in advance and you are encouraged not to drive there but walk or cycle. The lovely thing is that the farm has been in the family for five generations and there were three generations working there when we visited. The produce is locally sourced. My son loved the car theme throughout the place.

We walked from Turville on a 6 mile circular route that came past the Barn at Turville Heath after roughly half an hour of walking. I don't believe they have a carpark so you would need to be able to walk there. Dog friendly though! They advise on their website to book ahead although on the day we visited it wasn't busy so could have probably just turned up. I really liked the use of farm machinery (an old small square baler) as a counter and parts of an old landrover as a pizza oven and Morris 1000 traveller as a shelter for seating,

I ordered a sausage and egg bap which came with a pattie style sausage and runny yoked egg. For me the sausage didn't have a huge amount of flavour (my personal preference is Cumberland sausage) however I appreciate the runny egg. My wife had the veggi and bean goulash which she really enjoyed. I liked the fact they had condiments in their original bottles as opposed to fiddly packets.

Over all I enjoyed the experience including the walk which had a good variety of varied terrain, wildlife (both wild and captive deer) and mock Tudor mansions to gaup at. We will be back to try other things on the menu.

Eccentric barn with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating for walkers and cyclists. No road access. Booking is required - often even just for a casual takeaway coffee. Food is very good. Staff are friendly and helpful, but throughout is quite low. Toilets on site for customers were clean.

We visited for the first time yesterday. It is a lovely spot for lunch, tucked away off the main road. The signs read that you need to pre-book, which we did. It was very 'oldy-worldy' with some quirky little highlights, perfect for its location.

We had one of their homemade pizzas cooked on the pizza ovens (which sit on the back of pick up trucks) and we also tried the rich meat goulash which came with the fluffiest homemade bread rolls.

We settled into the barn to eat, which was a good plan as the rain started to fall, the space was very traditional, and we were pleased to have some huge cups of tea to wrap our hands around too.

* Dog friendly (they even make their own dog sausages which can be bought)
* A large hot drink is large!
* Homemade breads
* Supporting local artisans (you can buy the handmade pottery)
* Relaxed and informal

Make sure you book! Popped in for lunch after a hike - great burger and soup and they also sell beer. If like us you've never wandered down the lane to investigate then it's well worth the stroll to The Barn.
