We visited Stubbings today, with our dog, hoping to enjoy a walk followed by a warming drink in the cafe. Encouraged by the "dogs welcome" sign in the car park we made our way to the cafe to find that only assistance dogs are permitted inside. We could have used the outside covered area but in temperatures of 5 degrees this wasn't an appealing prospect.
It would be far more helpful if the signs in the car park were clear about where dogs are allowed.

We are regular customers at Stubbings and enjoy the cafe and Garden centre especially at Christmas time. I wanted to say a very special thank you to the lady who helped us with some Christmas decorations today, so nice and thoughtful as always, lovely hard working lady. Thank you!

Went to order online an xmas tree. The website was playing up. I called them, then i got a call back 5 mins later. The gentleman was lovely, very helpful and helped me order my tree.
A few days later and it arrived today. The delivery driver , think it was Paul, called me to let me know he was outside. I was happy to carry it indoors, even though he offered a few times, but i was happy to do so myself. He showed me how to carry my 6ft tree so i didnt hurt myself. Was easy to get indoors.
The tree is beautiful, im just letting it rest today, and will decorate tomorrow.
Excellent customer service, such lovely friendly staff, plus my delivery man today was brilliant. 10/12/24.
Cant fault them and prices very reasonable.

A nice garden centre with a lovely cafe but the gravel makes it very difficult getting around as a wheelchair user which is why I can't give a better star rating

Always a very pleasant place to visit after a walk through the Thicket. The café it's a great place, I always feel very welcome with a variety of coffee, tea, chocolate, cakes and pasties.
Perhaps there is more in the menu that I haven't tried but I'm sure it is nicely prepared.

You can also buy on the way out beautiful plants, garden furniture, sheds, summer houses, garden offices and plenty options to feed my backgarden's hens.

This is a great nursery, there's a good range of plants that are clearly laid out and are well maintained. There's an area selling all sorts of gardening sundries and some lovely garden decorations.

Visited this place for the first time. I ordered a Caesar Salad, which I really love. The salad duly arrived, which consisted of bistro salad leaves and cheddar cheese. I know I should have sent it back, but I was with guests and did not want to make them feel uncomfortable. I conscientiously tried some, but it was extremely disappointing.Outrageous, it was described as a classic Caeser salad.

When asked if everything was okay, I shared my disappointment.

No offer of a partial refund, never mind a full one. The offer of a coffee or a cake.

I found this to be extraordinary. NEVER WOULD I GO BACk!

The waiting staff were very apologetic and helpful. Not their fault.

No appearance of the cook/ chef. Such utter arrogance and contempt for the customer. Nearly £12 for very little. Overpriced and very little chicken, which was diced so small it could have fed a mouse.🤦‍♀️😡👎
