I just love Beak. The beers are top-notch, never disappointed. The taproom itself is in one of the most unique places you can drink beer at, facing the white cliff under the perfect blue sky. Finished my Lewes beer mile here (pick up your card at any of four stops) and couldn't be more happy.

Will be back next year for These Hills again (fingers crossed it will happen) and just thinking the area in front of the taproom could be used for the festival as well, sheltered by the cliff and with enough prepwork.

A good microbrewery with a great range of beers. Glad I stopped in for a visit. Didn't try the food, so can't comment on that. Strands 2 was the pick of the bunch for me; truly excellent. Not so big a fan of the Impy collaboration with Cloudwater. Normally like them, but a little sweet for me. Decent prices and pleased to see it was possible to order by the third.

Without a doubt the absolute highest bar at which craft beer should be judged, not just locally or nationally but globally. So good that not only had we driven three hours to visit but another couple had driven six!

The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and downright brilliant in every way. Their support for, and collaboration with, other breweries and beer spots shows a genuine passion that goes beyond just being a simple brewery and taproom.

The seating areas are comfortable and communal enough to meet new people with some more private spots if you're there for a little peace and quiet. Even the merch is superfluous in quality!

The rotating food trucks are good value and always top notch, with vegan options aplenty.

If I could find one fault, I'd have to be an even more cynical person than I am, but it's honestly just not possible.

If you're thinking about heading to Lewes for a visit, stop thinking and get down there! Beak is a shining light marking the completion of one's craft beer pilgrimage.

Great experience at the Beak taproom after These hills Fest was cancelled. Considering the circumstances the atmosphere was electric, everyone was in high spirits and we got to meet some amazing people! And what can I say about the beers, they are just incredible! They speak for themselves! Secluded industrial park, surrounded by chalky cliffs. Awesome venue! It certainly softened the blow of the 6 and a half hour drive from the Lake District.

This is a wonderful brewery....packed to the rafters with decent beer and impressive equipment. This place champions hops including some really interesting new varieties. The malt backbone is spot on. Huge range and super-friendly staff. Next up....let's see some other styles apart from American Pale) IPA/ DIPA. A nice Baltic Porter yes please! It's summer and I did see a very inviting Imperial.Stout in the fridge! Well done to all. Fabulous.

A fantastic tap room in Lewes. The beers are always good & they always have something interesting on. They do regular events, have board games & a great rotation of food vans. It's right next door to a great coffee roastery as an added bonus. Definitely visit if you can!

Really nice place albeit in a slightly strange location on an industrial estate. We went there towards the end of lockdown as you can eat and drink outside. It’s very popular so you need to reserve tables ahead of time. The staff were great - friendly helpful and fast. It’s a micro-brewery with its own beers available (mainly pale ales) and a good range of beers from other suppliers. There’s always a food truck present from which you can buy decent fast food. Recommended.
