Tried their home made thick pork, and thick beef sausages, along with some home cooked ham, and pease pudding (which they buy in from another local shop). All next level quality, makes me never want to buy supermarket sausages again!

Working in Bishop Auckland so gave Simon's a try. Very high quality, beautifuly tasting and locally sourced Ribeye and Fillet Steaks. All I want from a butcher. 5 stars 👌

I'm a huge fan of steak, got a Sirloin here to try, thick cut.

It was cut perfectly, the shop inspired confidence as the meat was clean, stored nicely and covered.
Selection was large and the sausage looked thick and absolutely incredible. Definitely one for next time!

Steak was cooked Sous Vide and then grill seared.
Incredible flavour, amazingly tender and extremely fresh and high quality.

Much better quality meat than any supermarket in Bishop Auckland hands down and even tides better than many local butchers I've tried. Including the big names up Darlington.

Definitely a new regular for meals that require only the finest quality!

Very nice and traditional butchers, rare to find now.

Simon's butchers is excellent to say the least.
Simon's all staff are very friendly and helpful, if you need any assistance.
We buy all our meat from here and we haven't had any that we haven't been overjoyed with.
All locally sourced, so helping local producer's.
So glad we finally have a great butcher in Bishop Auckland.

A superb butcher, if you thought beautifully prepared succulent meat, full of flavour, was a thing of the past ( and who can blame you?) think again!! Definitely not cheap, and worth every penny!!

Bought lamb chops yesterday, took me back to my childhood and my gran saying, pick it up to eat it. Done on the bbq and I devoured every morsel of meat and fat. Friendly butcher too.

My fiancé came in today & bought two cornbeef slices & 2 Taylor's pork pies from yourselves.
All I can say is the cornbeef slices are amazing, they have just enough of everything in them so that they're not over powered by one taste.
My only question is do you make Cheese & Onion slices/pasties/pies because they're my favourite thing.
