Simon from Ablesweep had the privilege to sweep chimneys of the only wood burning stills in Scotland. A superb experience and a wonderful tour by Nick. Wasn't really work at all! Brilliant to see such a pioneering local enterprise with a personal touch. Uplifting, I'll be back!

Fantastic experience. Great enthusiasm by the owner expressing their desire to succeed. 150-200 year old method in whisky production brought back to life!!! Cannot wait to go back in 2027 plus one day and taste their first official whisky. Trust me you will not be disappointed in the tour and their enthusiasm for success

This was a lovely find whilst staying for a few days in Moffatt. Erin and Nick are building something amazing here and their passion and knowledge shine through on the tour. The wood fired stills are something quite unique and bring a lot of character to the entire process. Definitely want to return for the whisky maturation!

We reacently took the tour at Moffat distillery . What a brilliant afternoon we had. The host was welcoming, very knowledgeable and very interesting. The atmosphere was relaxing and not stuffy like some tours we have been on. The lady behind the bar was very nice and had a lovely chat which was brill as some bar staff in other towns aren't. The taste testing was excellent and the group of ladies me and my husband were with along with the host made this one brill day. Would highly recommend and one not too miss. Thanks to all.

We was staying in Moffat so decided to treat ourselves to the distillery tour at Moffat distillery.
We are certainly glad we did, this is a new distillery (a couple of year old) with Whiskys and Gin made by traditinal wood flame fire, the tour guide was very knowledgeable which made the tour interesting and worthwhile especially the sample tasting at the end.
The tour we can highly recommend or you can even call in for refreshments and purchases for anyone visiting Scotland.
Good luck for the future we will call in again when passing for a coffee and to purchase your excellent Whisky or Gin.

Absolutely brilliant tour and so informative. Lovely whiskey, whiskey liqueurs and gin. Only been open a year but think Nick and Erin will be open for many many years to come.

This is a must go place if you are in Moffat. We took the tour which was excellent and very interesting as they use wood as the power source in their distillation. The quality of their gin and whisky is second to none. They also serve cockails using their own liquors. Very very nice people who own and run the venue and their plans for the future are also exciting. We will come back here for sure
