I’ve owned a bar myself and to come here and the barman to ask me to change my glass as he feels I’ve a flat pint. And yes it was a glass problem. Hats off to him. In 30 years I’ve NEVER had a barman offer that. Well done. 5 ⭐️ a really nice pub too

Pleasant Robinson's pub with a selection of their real ales. Paulicarus went for Unicorn...their traditional bitter. The room wraps around the central bar in a large U shape. Nice atmosphere. Paulicarus wanted to play darts but I have drunk too much already.

It was a relaxed atmosphere and they had a selection of enjoyable beers . Like most pubs these days the option for drivers is limited and expensive.

Even though im local, i don't come here often really. However, tonight, i dropped in with a friend. I was served really quick. The pub had a good selection of Robinson's beer on, amongst the regular stock.
The music was at a decent level, where you could hold conversations and the atmosphere was quite chilled.
There was a good mix of young and old and i got chatting to some of the regulars ( as my friend knew them).
It seems a pub that you can either sit on your own with a book or newspaper, or mix and mingle.
I'm making an effort to get out more, especially local. So I'll no doubt be back.
PS..no food rating as i don't know if food is done here, i didn't look.

A 2 pint afternoon visit to watch man united get thumped by the bin dippers.
Beer was good, terrific atmosphere with 3 ( or 4) big screens, united's performance was woeful.

One of a couple remaining main street pubs in New Mills, this retains traditional features inside with fresh decoration and well kept Robinsons real ales. They serve from a large horsehoe bar so even when it is busy you should get served quickly. Several TVs around the bar provide for sports viewing as well.
