Coombys farm is a lovely plot of lodges situated right next to the river Severn. The lodges have different views depending on the one you book.
I personally stayed in valley view that had an overlook to the river.
The lodges are very spacious and comfortable to stay in. Large kitchen with everything you would need.
Private car parking is included with a gate to keep others out.
There is a shed in the garden with fridge to keep all fishing gear in and bait cool. There is a padlock on the shed also to keep secure.
The railway runs next to the lodges so catching the steam train to bridgnorth or other aces is really easy.
No WiFi and mobile signal is up and down but that's not bad considering it's in the middle of nowhere.
The stretch of river by the lodges is owned by the Birmingham anglers association and I believe they are a members only so day tickets are not allowed however the membership is only around £40 for the year so well worth it as you can fish any BAA waters round the country.
Will definitely be coming back here again in the near future.

This is a wonderful place, the scenery is beautiful even if you don't catch any fish. A nice good stretch of river, accessible all along and with a decent head of fish. I haven't stayed at the cottages but they look very nice and I am told that a lot people return year after year. If you love the country or fishing or both give it a try.

Had to go through the farm with permission to access the Severn Valley Railway line to take photos of Flying Scotsman and other steam trains.

Stayed with three friends in the Valley View lodge last week for our annual weeks fishing trip on the River Severn.
The facilities were fantastic, so much so, our trip organiser has already rebooked for next year!
