Chicken Parmo and a tray of garlic potatoes from here are spot on for a quick meal and the Parmo is divine, it's actually better than the first one we ever had in Guisborough, in the land of the Parmo. All Pickerings gear is first class and the staff are all great too.

Very helpful, very Friendly and despite long queue very quick. Food value for money. Now it feels like Christmas. Only bad thing is the bad jokes( two chickens no turkey 🦃. Ha ha)

Went into Pickerings today after reading the reviews. Never have I been so underwhelmed.
I bought tomato sausages, dripping and a hot pork sandwich. I haven't cooked the sausages yet so cannot comment on their quality. But the pork sandwich at £4 was truly the worst I've ever bought. 'Hot' was a joke. It was barely tepid. Three of the thinnest cut small insipid anaemic slices of pork it's possible to imagine. The only saving grace was that the bread was fresh and soft. A total rip off. I'm amazed that anyone ever buys a 'hot' sandwich there. Avoid at all costs. Just a major disappointment. I will not be returning and will advise everyone I know locally to avoid the place as well.

Beautiful meat that’s fresh and tasty. Called in today as was looking for a traditional butchers. Honestly cannot wait to return. It pays to spend local as the flavour of the meat is like nothing you get from supermarkets. Was so nice to go in and listen to recommendations from the friendly knowledgeable staff. 10 out of 10.

These guys are great, I've supported Pickerings over a number of years and have to say, I would not think twice about shopping here. They are a great set of friendly people, who go above and beyond for everyone of their new and long lasting customers. Their service to the community in normal circumstances is exceptional, but during the COVID 19 pandemic, their service has been second to none. It is people and shops like this who make me actually proud of our town. The owner, is one of the nicest people you could meet, has time for his customers, and I know for a fact he and all of his staff really appreciate the continued support. Pickerings give so much back to the community, it is an exceptional thing to see.
