I booked here for 4 of us .A Saturday early evening to celebrate my business of 26 years ( Total Beauty Hexham) I like to support local .They really looked after us .The food was lovely .The cocktails nice too .I hadn't realised the upstairs was so big & was fully booked .The sparkly lights are a nice addition. ✨️ Definitely will return as the staff too made it a pleasant experience. A hidden gem, why did I not know about this place sooner. The staff were beyond exceptional and chatty, they made us feel right at ease. The tapas was authentic and absolutely marvellous. We ordered 5 tapas between 2 of us and it certainly hit the mark, it was tremendous, we had a desert and omg it was beautiful. We will certainly be earing there again and will definitely recommend it for a great evening lunch

We had the pleasure of celebrating my brother-in-law’s birthday at Market Social, and it was truly a memorable meal. The atmosphere was perfect for a special occasion—festive yet relaxed, creating a great vibe for our celebration.

My father-in-law, who’s in his 90s and has experienced many great meals over the years, remarked that it was some of the best food he’d ever had. He was especially fond of the whitebait and the seafood platter, both of which were absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared.

The staff were exceptional—warm, friendly, and attentive throughout the evening. They were also knowledgeable about the menu, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable.

All in all, a wonderful meal in a fantastic setting, and we look forward to returning again soon!

Went here for Valentine's, great selection of vegetarian tapas (also many GF options). Apart from the restaurant there is also a quaint shop selling local specialties. Only minor complaint is that we had a table by the bay windows which let in a lot of cold. Highly recommend the vegetarian albondigas. We will be back!

I LOVE to drink coffee on a glass and stir with a spoon and this is what I got here.
Beautiful market with all kinds of canned food and fresh food in fridges.
Very sociable owners who you can talk with.
Tapas on Fridays and Saturdays.

We had the falafel sharing platter and some cheeses with a cup of Earl Grey tea - all delicious and beautifully presented. This is a dog-friendly café and also sells lots of lovely speciality groceries and tapas dishes. Very happy with our meal 🤩

I had hoped to take a photo of this beautifully stylish restaurant. But as soon as i stepped in, the warm, cosy atmosphere embraces you and immediately I just wanted to sit down and soak it all in.

I was greeted by friendly staff, who perfectly served me my unusually weak latte, spot on Thank you.

I ordered a Meatball Bocata. Oh my goodness! Its was delicious. Again I was going to take a picture as that's what you do now. But I couldn't stop, I relished every mouthful. Loved the sauce, I only wish there was more!

I'd definitely recommend this restaurant/cafe/ social market, which has a huge range of locally sourced goods. A wonderful addition to Hexham.
