Amazing Products, but discontinuing the ‘Bara Brith Cake’ and replacing it with ‘Bara Brith Tea Loaf’ is really disappointing, the taste and texture is inferior and does not compare to the original recipe!

Henllan Bakery, please bring back the Bara Brith Cake!! The taste and texture of that was far superior and in my opinion the best Bara Brith on the market!

In response to your reply… that is below par just like the new recipe…the Welsh food company advised you had discontinued Bara Brith Cake and replaced it with Bara Brith Tea Loaf. I had looked for it for months and now I get an unprofessional response from you. Says it all really. It’s not the same product, it’s inferior.

Bring original back on the market and I’ll delete this 1 Star review! 😉

The attitude of the owner on these reply comments is absolutely disgusting. I’m shocked! Very unprofessional especially when getting personal with people for having an opinion, that’s what the review service is for. I was about to leave my own review about the cakes I have tried but I’ll give it a miss as the arrogance of the owner has put me off. I’ll be making sure whoever is in charge of replying to reviews is reported to the right people in Customer Standards, fortunately my profession will allow me to do this and be taken seriously. I suggest the owner stops attacking people for having a different opinion as it really does put people off the company.

The most soft & light creamy sponge cakes I’ve ever tasted. The iced strawberry one is my absolute fave but they’re all delicious. Well done Henllan for the most delicious cakes ever. Great customer service too. Highly recommend

Your lemon drizzle cake is to die for. The best ever lemon drizzle cake I have ever tasted. The sponge is so moist and the lemon is sweet not bitter like some cakes I have tasted. Please don't ever change your recipe as you win hands down 👏👏👏

I bought a Henllan Bakery Farmhouse Harvester Thick sliced loaf for the first time today (from the local Co-op) and its absolutely lovely. It'll be a regular buy from now on.
I've also recently had the Henllan Lemon sponge cake which was delicious and so soft. It's a decent size cake, but be warned
..... you may not want to share.

We own a small store very near to Roberts Bakery, so they were the obvious choice for us initially. However, despite delivering to two major brand stores a stones throw away from our shop, Roberts wouldn’t allow us to order slightly under their minimum order quantity of bread…which resulted in us wasting around 20 loaves per week.

Henllan have been fantastic and their product is superior in every way. It was a blessing in disguise really. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
