Got a load of meat and it had gone off by the next day even though I left it in the fridge and the meat I left in the freezer has gone off. I only went 2 days ago and it's already off even the meat in the freezer so I've just spent £100 on meat to bin more than half of it what a joke... definitely not going here again.

We live locally and on the whole have only ever had a bad experience, the last one was where we were charged £34 for two racks of ribs! Fair enough they were good quality but half the belly was attached enabling him to charge more, this is plainly taking advantage of customers. In the past we have collected a turkey on Christmas eve that was fresh but was half frozen, lamb shanks were ordered for a dinner party and these where frozen, and a pie that had a date 3 months previous which had also been frozen. There are lots of really good farm shops in the area, so we will not be entering his premises again.

This is a very good butcher however in my view it's a little expensive. The cooked meat section was dissapointing compared with years past when it was superb. Pork pies and sausage rolls where good though. There is also a good range of fresh vegetables and prepared meals which looked good but I did not purchase. Certainly worth a visit.

Stumbled across this place purely by accident. One of the best finds I've ever made.
They have all sorts of produce, great quality and decent on price !

Outstanding pork pies, great sausage rolls and a Hade Edge pasty that rivals its best cousins from Cornwall. Friendly service, too. A gem.
