Fantastic Garden Centre & Café – Highly Recommended!

Visited this lovely garden centre and café today, and I have to say, it was a great experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly polite and welcoming, creating a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Service was impressively fast, and the food was delicious—had a cup of tea and a sausage cob, both of which were spot on. The prices were very reasonable too, making it excellent value for money.

Overall, a fantastic place to stop for a bite to eat while browsing the garden centre. I’ll definitely be returning!

Never update the menu which is frustrating as you have to go up to the till to order, then return to your table to order again sometimes.

Apart from this they've got orders wrong on two occasions from about five visits, one time being quite serious. If someone has an allergy/eating preference I would avoid this place or double check my food. If there was another cafe nearby which unfortunately there isn't I would use that. The place has a monopoly on footfall and it shows, it's a shame as the food is pretty good for what it is and is usually served promptly. I'd either advise just getting a drink, ordering things from the cabinet or ordering a likely bestseller like fish and chips or their roast, though I have no idea how those items taste. They've often discontinued/changed salads, only do sliced bread, no baguettes or rolls and other things have often been discontinued on the menu, I don't have a problem with this typically it's just when it happens for 6 plus months and you don't have a full table service, I would think it logical to have a menu that is bang up to date and calibrated with your till.

I actually find going here frustrating now as I know other businesses that would kill for a location and set up like they have. Personally, I will be avoiding the place for the near future and no longer recommending it to people coming to visit. Used to see it as a bonus to the garden centre but it's fancier than normal garden centre cafe facade is deceiving. If you don't have the time or patience I'd advise you to eat elsewhere and just get whatever plants you need at the centre. There's much better places in town or nearby.

Great place, all staff are helpful and friendly.
The selection of plants are amazing, really tidy and displayed in sections really well. The home interior bits are amazing, I could spend a fortune in their... So many things I want to purchase!!
I haven't looked at the clothes, but they look nice enough, from passing through to the canteen, which again, all staff are really welcoming, it's clean and tidy and the layout is great too, along with good quality tables and chairs. The menu is fantastic, we only had a coffee on this visit, which was good, but we said we'd definately eat there next time, the choice is incredible for a garden centre, from mains, sandwiches, cakes, salads and small bits. It all looked really nice to, from what I could see.
The christmas stuff (just going out) interior plants, kids section, kitchen stuff, smellies for the house, I brought some incense sticks...So much stuff to look at, again, all displayed really well and so clean and tidy.
Some things are expensive and some bits reasonable, like most of these places, but they do have some lovely and unusual interior bits.

A real gem . The garden centre itself is comprehensively stocked with plants of all types and sizes and everything you need for the garden . The shop has a wide variety of clothing , decor and pretty much everything you need for garden seating and eating . The place where it really excels is the cafe / restaurant, a very good menu for any time of day , beautifully cooked and presented and very reasonably priced . The restaurant is light and comfy with a large conservatory feel , staff are helpful and friendly and all in all it’s a great experience.

Lovely food and wonderful staff. Not limited mobility friendly, have to go long way round the displays can't cut through and cafe is far side of centre. So worn out by the time you get don't really feel like eating.

The revamp may look very nice, but for people with mobility issues it is a nightmare. You have not thought of the disability issues. Came to eat at the cafe ended up not being able to eat because of the layout that made me quite ill. When we left to go through checkout and mention the fact about the layout all I got was we would have let you in this way. We will not be coming back, used to come alot before changes.

First visit today and had a delicious gluten free meal & cake! Even bumped into some of our neighbours too! Very helpful staff. Thank you we will be back
