Simply delightful from start to finish. The food is, as you’d expect, elegant and unfussy, as are the wines. We had a bottle of still white which was crisp, fruity and living up to the Chalk namesake. The poached cod was wonderful, and I could eat the mussel butter sauce all day long. All reasonably priced too for such quality. We’ll be back!

My partner and I attended the Top Drawer Tasting & Dinner for his birthday, and it was the perfect way to end the evening! Everything was outstanding—from the warm welcome to the very last moment at Chalk Restaurant.

My partner said it was his best birthday experience, especially with all the thoughtful congratulations and attention from the Wiston Winery Team. I couldn’t be happier with my choice of Wiston Winery and the exceptional dining experience at Chalk Restaurant.

What an experience! Wine tour very interesting and informative. The food and service impeccable. We treated ourselves to some bottles for special occasions and two glasses to remind ourselves of our honeymoon treat. Highly recommend

We had a voucher for a winery tour. Great experiences from start to finish. Beautifully presented place and a very nice and informative guide to explain the surprisingly complex methods to produce high end quality wine. Tastings at the end of the tour, that while we are not lovers of sparkling wine ourselves the quality was obvious so we might be converted! The adjoining restaurant is also beautiful so probably well worth a visit for a special occasion in unique surroundings. A very interesting and enjoyable visit .

The best meal we have had in years, bar none. A bright and airy dining room gave everyone the space to not feel crowded. Service was relaxed and welcoming but knowledgeable and attentive. All this within the picturesque surrounds of Wiston Estate... Not a bad starting point.

Every dish felt cared for, considered and individual. Everything that came to the table was immaculate. There was a talking point in the flavours on every plate.

And, to add, the Wiston wine was fabulous. We ran the board on the sparkling by the glass, and sampled the pinot noir. Not one regretted mouthful.

Thanks so much to the team at Chalk. Fiersome talent served up with confident elegance.

A classily-converted barn with a lovely bar and outside space. Visited for lunch with friends over the August 2024 Bank Holiday weekend and had a great time.

The menu is relatively small but often that’s a good thing if the dishes are creative. We all loved all three courses; fresh local produce, very well cooked and beautifully presented. As you would expect, all of the wines were excellent too.

Given that it’s just off the A24, the restaurant felt really tranquil. Prices, given the quality of the food and wine, were also reasonable.

Service at the start was a little slow as we had to wait quite a while to be asked if we wanted to order drinks while we browsed the menu. I guess that the outside space was busier than they expected and the staff were a little stretched. Nevertheless, service was really friendly and soon became more efficient.

This restaurant most definitely deserves a 5-star review.

It's a lovely restaurant surrounded by winery setting.
The food menu doesn't have a large variety, but food is excellent with beautiful presentation, which you can enjoy with fantastic Wiston wines.
Their homemade foccacia is really tasty and perfect to pair with any wine.
Staff are always nice and friendly.

I would recommend this place for lunch and special dinner.

If they have Wiston's wine flights in their menu, it would be even better.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Chalk! Amazing food, lovely setting and great staff. Loved the tasting menu with a few surprise extras too. Probably the best meal we've ever had! Highly recommend for a special occasion.
