Was pissing with rain when visiting so takes a bit away from the tour. Beautiful place. Family run. Looks hard work. The family also have restaurants. Was not a fan of the wine myself - the sparkling was ok - but lots in my group liked it and bought some. The place is a bit rustic. Prob best a pop by place in the car. Not a long visit prob done in 20 mins. They cooked for us but not sure if that is an option to have or was organised for our group. Food was fresh and delicious. Cooked on an open stove. There is a “shop” but isn’t really a shop more an opening to buy meat/wine from a list on a board outside.

A little piece of paradise. A real hidden treasure. Beautiful vineyards making tasty wines. Great to find a vineyard practising "grapes to glass" on the same site .

What a gem of a place. We stopped by at the end of a beautiful circular walk in the surrounding countryside, and enjoyed a bottle of the 2020 pinot noir (light, refreshing, floral), along with a magnificent platter of cheese, local tomatoes, crackers and rilettes, served in the lodge with lovely views over the vines. Our host was very welcoming and the whole place just feels homely, unpretentious, humble. A relatively small scale operation but with a lovely human element to it all - and the wines are well priced too! The polar opposite of other bigger vineyards across Sussex. Will definitely be back!

Pleasant, clean and organized environment with a satisfying atmosphere, kind and welcoming staff with good professionalism and preparation, we spent a good relaxing time with good mobility in the estate with services and the possibility of enjoying paid platters, free water and bottles of wine from the estate even if the one I would have liked (Nutty Blush Pinot Noir) to buy and try was not available, for the rest you have a good choice, beautiful integration between nature and biodiversity with a good supply of microclimate for the area where it is located with traces of salty air, the vintages tested were good with minerality and balanced acidity with a tasty note of white pulp fruit, citrus and white wild flowers for the bubbles, good perlage and traces of dried fruit (based on my common opinion). The mill is well represented with pleasant comfort and style, perfect for a day to enjoy until the end.
To be return !

Nutbourne vineyard located in the West Sussex country side between West Chiltington & Pulborough.
Some narrow country lanes to reach it, but what a jewel in the crown.
Tea, Coffee ☕ and cake on arrival, brownie & flapjack delicious 😋.
The tour starts with a brief introduction and history of the family owned vineyard. Then a casual walk through the vineyard and the surrounding grounds, which are beautiful, not just the many different types of vines but the lake, the alpacas, the renovated windmill and the green rural views.
The guide was very friendly, funny and so so knowledgeable and made the experience really enjoyable.
Finishing the walk with a glass of Nutty Wild ,🥂 sparkling in the fermentation and bottling area with excellent explanations of the processes.
Then back to the covered breeze house for further tasting of 5 different Nutbourne Vineyard wines, sparkling,🍾 white and red🍷
Some gorgeous tasting wines. This all takes 2 1/2 hours but fly's by.
We finished with a picnic, sat on the windmill over looking the vineyard, all lovely delicious locally made produce - a perfect finish (4 hours).
Fortunately there is a vineyard shop that sells the wine that you've tasted, so if there was something you liked, you can have in your fridge that night.
Well worth the money, a beautiful day out and very informative. Great idea for a gift or to spend some time with someone special.

The 4 stars are for the ambience. It is a delightful spot with an easy to follow walk through the vines. Whilst the welcome was friendly and attentive it is a working vineyard which makes it feel very real.

We were not so impressed with the wines. It is down to personal taste but, with my partner having 20 years in the industry, it was felt that the wines have a way to go before they match the expectations given by physical aspects of the vineyard. There are signs of brilliance and it is a vineyard to watch and keep trying as it starts to realise its potential.
