First class local butcher with spotless premises and a good range of meats. They also offer pies and sausage rolls. The sausage rolls with chorizo are really tasty. The staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and polite.

My first experience of Neil Powells Butcher in Ewyas Harold is a great one. The shop has a nice atmosphere, is clean and modern, with friendly staff.
Bought a sausage breakfast roll this morning with a capuccino - and, considering the quality of the meat, that they are a local business, the service & premises were great, you can't argue with that deal at £4.50! This will likely become a weekly treat for me from now on!

A very disappointing experience.
Can't comment on the meat, haven't cooked it yet, but expect it to be tasty.
I just didn't enjoy the service. The assistant didn't seem that enthusiastic when I asked about a joint for roasting and they then noticed the sell by date was today, but said it would probably still be alright on Sunday.
They looked out back and gave me one sealed but without a label, so what is its sell by date?
Just not what I expected.

I used to buy my meat at the supermarket but have switched to the Neil Powell shop in Ewyas Harold. Quality is excellent and the young chap working there is superb but a big minus for me is that I've just checked the origin of the slaughter house for my mince and discovered it is slaughtered Halal. Being against Halal slaughter is why I started using a local butcher in the first place so very disappointed about this. If it wasn't for this my rating would be 5 star.
