Definitely the best butchers for miles in my opinion. I don’t live in Ross, but will happily make the drive for their produce.

Tim and the team are always super helpful and very knowledgeable. They regularly stock less common breeds of beef - which is a nice change from my local butcher who only sources Hereford.

Their BBQ selections are pretty good this time of year, giving you a mixed bunch of beef chicken and pork.

They do a great variety of sausages and stock some deli foods like scotch eggs.

Prices are on par with what you’d expect for decent beef. A local butchers will never be able to compete with a budget supermarket, it the meat is far better quality.

I wanted to try game, and Hanks had it to order online. Communication was great. Ordering was easy, and the meats came well packaged. The website isn't as informative as it could be, but when I emailed with questions, I got a quick response. My son enjoyed trying venison and wild boar.

Absolutely the best Butcher for miles.
I have to drive 12 miles to get there and live a mile or two from two other butchers, but the trip always worth it. Tim and his staff are lovely, the meat is always top notch and as a plus they do game.
Highly recommend and would not go anywhere else.

Went with a Christmas Hamper, Was not disappointed!!
Quality produce and at a very reasonable price. Was easy to order online, pick up was effortless for my parents and travelled well to Wales. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 we will definitely be using Hanks for Christmas 2025. Thank you very much!

I visited Hanks the other day for the first time and was so impressed by the outstanding customer service, the staff were so friendly and helpful. I got a really great selection of bacon, sausages, marinated ribs and a steak for a great price. Everything tasted great, the bacon is so lovely and thick but the steak was incredible! I will definitely be returning again soon and highly recommend!

We've been buying meat from Hanks for a few months now and I thought it was about time we left a review. Everything we have had to date has been exceptional, lovely great tasting sausages, really meaty. We had pork chops tonight and they crackled perfectly. In short all the meat we had has been perfect. We can't recommend this butcher enough.

I must admit I expected a lot from this butchers, from all the awards I had seen it had been winning but I've been left disappointed with the quality of the items brought.
The beef burgers were just okay.
Chicken breasts okay.
Sausage meat is the same everywhere.
Bacon was good and thick but not very smoked.
Sausage again was good but not outstanding.
Only item not tried yet is the gammon joint we have.
The joints of meat and beef did look amazing. So maybe I've just not brought the best items.
Staff very lovely and happy so great service. But for me I've had better meat from other butchers in Herefordshire.
