I hesitated for far too long before finally booking a course with Carol ‘Master the basics’. Wish I had took the plunge sooner, the sharp edge smoother is an absolute game changer whether you’re a professional or a hobby baker like me. Purchased a straight edge smoother from Cakes by Carol but I couldn't get the hang of it. A quick Facebook chat with Carol who took the time to show me what I was doing wrong (completely my fault) and I now love it and wouldn't be without it. Customer service was brilliant, so much so I have now signed up to her membership.
The Wedding Cake Lounge membership is amazing value for money, so many tutorials and guest speakers and Carol is so kind and patient in explaining things and offering advice.
Would highly recommend both product and services.

I have purchased the Sharp edge smoother from Carol and I must say it's amazing. Anyone who decorates cakes will find this invaluable. Also I've purchased decorating tutorials and I'm a member of the wedding Cake Lounge which I love. The amount of content is amazing and is added to constantly. You learn at your own pace and Carol is on hand if you ever need help with anything.
I would 100% recommend Cakes by Carol to anyone and everyone for tools and tutorials.

Carol recently made our 4 tier wedding cake which was absolutely stunning, she catered for our many different requests (including 4 different flavoured sponges!) And immaculately executed decorative sugar flowers.
All our guests commented on how amazing it looked and tasted 😍 the flavours are incredible.
We will definitely use cakes by Carol again when needed. Thank you Carol for making our perfect wedding cake 😊

Carol created our wedding cake and it was stunning. The colours and toppers were exactly what we had wished for, and the flavours were very tasty. She also made gluten-free cupcakes which went down very well with our coeliac guests.

The only criticism I have is that communication was often difficult (my emails not being replied to and me having to follow them up, for example), but nevertheless the final result looked wonderful.

Spent a very useful Saturday at a Master the Basics Class by Cakes by Carol in Peterborough. Working with Carol and 3 other (much) more skilled ladies I managed to learn how to properly place and smooth fondant icing using the sharp edge smoother and even my efforts looked really sharp! 😀 now to practice.
