So friendly and hospitable- and lovely atmosphere - lovely Riverside town centre location and within a beautifully restored Mill. Superb fresh coffee and high quality food. Cannot recommend it highly enough- shares ground floor with a lovely gift shop selling a wide range of quality items - cafe accessed by walking through the shop. Lovely too that wall decor includes boards with comprehensive history of the mill and town.

Have been going in happily for years, no more. Yesterday BIG disappointment was hoping for Christmas pudding & brandy sauce like last year. Thought at least there would be a homemade mince pie but no, something that looked like a Mr Kipling. Nor any of the superb homemade scones, bought a square sticky thing called a scone 😲.
Young lady poor engagement, asked which table I was sat at (I was at the till trying to engage). Not a good atmosphere. I had to ask if it "was new management". Disappointed.

We have been regular customers here for years. It has been going down for the last few months. The last visit was the final one. Staff didn't have a clue. The soup I ordered red pepper and basil had never seen a basil leaf or seasoning of any kind. The red peppers had been cooked and then blitzed to a lumpy mess and the flavour was awful. Could not eat it. Roll tiny and hard. If they have a proper chef he needs to go back for training. What was once a welcoming venue is now awful. Will not be going again.

Really great visit today, weather awesome so able to sit outside. Coffee very good, cakes really outstanding, perfect mid-ride boost. Weather meant the centre of Hebden Bridge was like the South of France - everyone enjoying themselves outside making for a special atmosphere. Highly recommended!

A friendly cafe with seating indoors and out and a restored waterwheel. Which is a first for me, but fascinated everyone who came to have a look. It makes the cafe very unique, with lots of information on the history of Hebden Bridge all over the walls.

There is a gift shop attached, which sells various locally produced products at different price points. Was fascinated by the old camera lamps which I loved.

They did sandwiches, jacket potatoes, soup, cakes and drinks with a gluten free option on the cakes. I decided to go for the courgette and lime cake with a tea, which looked amazing. The cake was really nice and filling and tasted lovely of lime. Had a pot of tea and was also given a pot of water, so got several cups out of it. The drinks and cakes were very reasonably priced and you could tell that my cake was homemade.

Such a shame. I came with a gift I wanted to exchange. No receip, as it wasn't provided. The woman on the till was awkward and rude, kind've gave a half answer of no, before turning her back and walking away. I wasn't sure if she'd finished talking to me. I spend a lot of money on gifts and books in this shop. I'll not return based upon this.

Lovely hidden gem at the back of the gift shop. Food is lovely, really fresh and great prices, not like some of the other over priced cafes in Hebden Bridge. The building is also steeped in history which you can learn about on the walls of the cafe.

When visiting Hebden Bridge be sure to visit the Innovation cafe accessed through the gift shop. There you will find a working water wheel and we had our lunch sitting on top of an Archimedes Screw using the power of the small river to generate electricity.
