Had one of the best brownies of our lives from here and also an incredible blueberry caramel crumble slice that I wish I could eat all over again! Lovely welcoming service and every sweet treat was explained to us so we could make a choice. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area!

This place deserves more credit than it gives off. Such an amazing find, the owner is so passionate about his sour dough. I love the introduction to every sour dough. It's the best I've had in the UK so far. Other more popular places seem to have a burnt crust, but this place its pretty perfect. I grabbed the last Dutch sourdough loaf and it is crusty on the outside and soft on the inside with a fresh sour smell. The price is affordable as well for the size. I also got a hot cross bun which has lots of flavour too. This place is also vegan so make sure to hit it up if you're in town and spread the word! We want to keep small businesses with artisan craft and passion alive especially in the economy these days post covid...it's hard to find such passionate people these days

A lovely rustic bakery, perfect to visit for a classic British experience. Plenty of affordable and delicious breads, cakes and artisanal savory pastries.

I ate the vegan cornish pasty and both the tomatoes and the spinach vegan suauges rolls, all were perfect.

Incredible bread and sound bread maker. No idea how this place hasn’t got hundreds of 5 star reviews. Best sourdough loaf I have had in the North.. ten times better than some of the more popular bakeries around.

We were after some 'proper' bread for our tea and called in here and ended up spending 20 minutes talking to the owner who is a little qwerky but amazing to chat too. He explained the bakery and the breads and also his cakes.
What was in and why, it was like going back in time when the person behind the counter was generally the maker of the produce and knew all about it and was passionate of their wares.
By the way the bread we had was excellent as was the whole meal scone and flap jacks.

Went in for a snack came out with a loaf of rye bread that is baked using a 40? year old Danish method... it was absolutely delicious !!! Pasties were good too and we were happy to find unexpected dairy free options

Great bread. Delicious flapjacks and Brownies and the best owner. Always an experience and good chat making a purchase here. Wish there were more places like it.
