Can’t say I’ve ever paid as much for an ice cream from a van. Golden acre park on a Sunday. Bought 3 99s and paid £15. The actual price was £14.60 but the card machine would not except any of our cards ( tried 4 cards from 3 different people but wouldn’t except any. Had to pay using cash and we had no change and neither did the van so ended up paying £15 ( £5 per ice cream) bit of a joke and wouldn’t have bought them had we have not already started eating them before we were told the price.

We decided to have an ice cream after a lovely few hours at Cusworth Hall.
We looked at the pictures and ordered two 99’s. The man serving got out two sugar cones (the original ones). We said we had asked for the waffle ones that were on the picture. He was a quite grumpy and said that we hadn’t ordered those and that wasn’t a 99. It clearly said on the pic “nineT nine”. He changed the cones, and his manner continued to be rude. Although the ice creams were ok, a mix of white and pink ice cream the biggest shock was the price at £11.70 for 2!!!! (Yes they were a bit bigger, but we didn’t want bigger we just wanted a standard size waffle cone). He certainly has the wrong manner to be working in a role where you primarily deal with families. The cost of the ice cream annd attitude of the man will make us weary of buying from Royds again.

"You can't buy happiness, but you can buy ice cream, and that is pretty much the same thing."

I would like to commend Royd Ices for their exceptional delivery of traditional 99 Flake ice cream, alongside an impressive array of other ice creams. The taste is consistently superb, and the artistic presentation of the ice creams is particularly appealing to children. Your dedication to quality and creativity is evident in every product, making each treat both delightful and visually engaging. Moreover, the value provided is worth every penny and very justified given the outstanding quality and experience. Thank you for providing such wonderful experiences for all ages.

My daughter stopped for an ice cream for her self and a friend today at Pugneys today and we're charged £9.70 for a cone we have never paid more than a couple of pounds for. Incredibly overpriced and underwhelming poor quality ice cream.

The products are very good, have asked and the ice-cream mis is made in-house. And it really is very good. The prices....well... The mix is made in-house. They have a card only policy, which for me is ideal, not for everyone thou.
Overall one of the best ice-cream trucks out there.

Im having this ice cream from the past couple of years since i was young and i absolutely love it. There are some inconsiderate people who i saw were yelling at the ice cream driver for the price because they didnt see first. Although the prices are a bit high but trust me, its one of the best soft ice creams other ones might be cheaper but their taste and quality is very bad i got a bad stomach after having the other one. My kids and i love royds ice and i suggest you all to try it out, its the best whippy soft ice cream ever♥️.

Shame on Royd Ices, the van located at odgen water preys on people walking up there with their high prices.

And card only, only had cash on me and was refused service.

This is not acceptable, cash is legal tender.

Very tasty ice cream and very easy to deal with. They provided 1,100 ice creams / lollies for us to reward school staff and students and the event went without hitch. All staff and students really enjoyed the ice cream, with many commenting about the quality. The staff were eager to do whatever they could to make the event a success and we'll definitely be using them again. I highly recommend them!
