My daughter has just graduated from pre school here and I just want to say thank you to all the hard working staff for their time and care they having given her over the past few years. My little girl has grown into a confident clever caring person and it’s all down to this nursery. The staff are lovely and build great relationships with the kids. My family will all miss visiting this nursery. Thank you everything!

I do not recommend this nursery.

The nursery itself is outdated, the rooms are small, carpets are old, and it is in need of a decent renovation.

The majority of staff are uninterested in the children, and frequently complain. There are a couple of staff members that are nice and attentive, but certainly not all.

I found the nursery manager to be rude and unhelpful.

We have a family friend who attended this nursery on a university placement, they ended up completing their placement elsewhere because they felt unwelcome by the staff and uncomfortable at the care the children received.

I can only leave a review with my own personal opinion, and do not mean to offend anyone, but if you are considering this nursery, I urge you to visit and make your own judgement. Compared to other fantastic nurseries in Gosforth, with amazing facilities and welcoming staff, Ladybird sticks out like a sore thumb.

We attended the nursery this morning for a look around and were less than impressed.

The place was dirty, chef was seen to lick his fingers and then re-handle food, there were pieces of broken plastic on the floor in one of the play rooms, there was a broken shoe rack in the hallway with sharp edges and the snapped off sharp pieces of wood lying on the ground, the door to the babies room slams closed and if a child had fingers in there this would cause serious injury.

The staff seemed friendly enough but seemed dis-interested in interacting with the children and more bothered about chatting with each other with the exception of one staff member who seemed to get on great with the kids.

The experience we had on this visit was so poor that my wife was in tears at the thought of other people’s children spending days every week in that facility,

Whilst we appreciate other people will have different opinions on the nursery we can only comment on what we witnessed on our visit.

This nursery has been excellent over the past 3 years that my son has attended. He has developed so much & made some great friends here. The staff are very welcoming & comforting during the settling in period. I would definitely this nursery to others. They do lots of great activities & have had some good trips out too.

Since my child started at ladybird nursery I have seen a change in her for the better she is learning lots of new words and really shining in her development. The staff are really accommodating to mine and my wife's needs when placing our days for our daughter. We are very happy with the services we are getting and cannot fault the staff for their attitude towards caring for children. All in all an absolutely terrific nursey.

I highly recommend Ladybird Nursery in Gosforth! Both my sons go there and we are very happy with the excellent staff, the creative activities, the premises, the meals, and just about everything. Every day we get a full report of what the kids have been up to, and how well they ate and slept. The boys got settled in quite quickly and it's now lovely to see how they happily go to the nursery every day.

My little boy loves coming to Ladybirds, he always comes home happy and excited to tell us all the fun things he has done that day! The staff are so loving and caring, especially with emotional parents dropping their kids off for the first time! I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend this nursery to anyone, im so glad we found it.

My son has enjoyed his time at Ladybird’s in Gosforth. Communication with the nursery is very good. The staff are always welcoming. The food is plentiful and “yummy.” He has enjoyed the activities and will miss his friends and the staff.
