I was looking to buy some tall ever green trees to screen where the garden is over looked. We dealt with a lady called Luci, who is extremely knowledgeable and gave us no end of advice. I was most impressed with the standard of service I was given. Thank you 😊

This is a real gem, an oasis of inspiration for your own garden big or small.It's laid out with different areas for seating, BBQ or just walking enjoying the peace and calm that plants bring.
I've imported plants from all over Europe and Urban buy quality at a good price, so now I come here first. They have excellent contacts in the Trade and provide hard and soft landscape services.
Just one issue...the toilet.... now if you want luxury in this room, their new Powderam branch is palatial! Enjoy.

Before you buy any plant or garden ralated goods - I invite you to visit Urban and Rural Plants. They have two locations, one in Powderham Castle specialising in indoor plants, and the one in Matford dedicated to outdoor gorgeous plants, trees and shrubs. About 4 months ago, I bought an orange tree for the office - Exe-Tech Electrical. We are absolutely over the moon with its performance and the quality of the tree. Thank you to Lucy and her wonderful team for being so knowledgeable and helpful. We will go back to buy more.

In our search for an interesting specimen plant to fill a shady corner of our garden we discovered Urban & Rural Plants at Matford. We had rather set our hearts on a Tasmanian Tree Fern (Dicksonia Antarctica), but sadly the examples they had in stock were rather larger than we wanted. We were told some smaller examples were on order and if we cared to leave our contact details they we would let us know when they were in stock.
True to their word, a few weeks later we received an e-mail and returned with a view to purchase. The guy who we spoke with (I’m sorry I can’t remember your name) was more than helpful and spent some time explaining how to care for a Dicksonia Antarctica. Following his advice, we chose a 2½ foot specimen, which now has pride of place in our shady woodland corner.
Here in Devon we are blessed with some very good plant nurseries, but if you’re looking for something just that little bit ‘special’ go take a look at what Urban & Rural Plants have to offer, you won’t be disappointed. Really nice people, great plants and highly recommended. Thank you...

Lee and Lucy know there stuff. Purchased plants, trees, bushes etc etc etc. No where else for us now. Been there more times than I can remember. Every single plant, tree has not only survived but exceeded our expectations. Think we need a bigger garden.

What a paradise of a place. Absolutely amazing. They have everything you could want. The owner is so incredibly helpful and nice and attentive. You're getting such looked after high quality plants and tree's with no inflated prices. Best place in exeter or the surrounding area for sure.

Visited today for the first time, as on holiday from Norfolk. Met Lee, who was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He gave me a couple of leads to other possible nurseries to visit. I bought a beautiful Dasylirion longissimum. Although I plant mainly prairie style borders, I will definitely keep him in mind if I need large architectural plants.
