I went to buy food for myself and my children at 11.45am on Sunday 3rd Nov and was looking at options available (bearing in mind 2 of my children have additional sensory needs) and a male staff member very loudly shouted to all in the shop 'for thr last time the queue starts at this end, not that end'. Firstly this would not even be an appropriate thing to say to people who had only just arrived in the shop and were not even in the queue yet and the attitude of the staff member was horrendous so following this we just walked straight back out and I would suggest reviewing staff policies around shouting and addressing the whole shop in this way especially when neurodiverse customers may be in the shop and causes people not to want to shop here at all in the future.

It’s definitely my favourite meat shop but the ham joint shanks I bought today were WAY TOO SAULTY and impossible. Someone might have spilled the salut jar while cooking… usually the products are great.

Every time I have something to do in Stockport, this place is a must go! I super love the salt and pepper/chilli chicken bites, definitely some of the best I've ever had! The meat is always fresh with a great variety and the price is second to none.

Best burger I've ever had hands down. 10/10 could eat it everyday. Weird queuing system though.

This place used to be amazing, now it's just a shadow of what it used to be.
The cook food can be really good, the fresh meat are no way near as good as it once was.

The biggest problem with this place is the service, there are far too many rude staff members, and they're so slow doing absolutely everything, I've seen dead snails moving faster, they have zero enthusiasm.

One lad in particular with glass, mumbles at you, face like thunder no matter the time or day, give the impression you're interrupting him doing something important.

Scammed me out of lunch money for the rest of the week. Bought 3.50 of chicken gave the staff a tenner he gives me 1.50 of change and refused to give me the right amount.

Delightful breakfast butty, all pre cooked but for the price I didn't mind it was a decent butty. Sausage was incredibly tasty as was the black puddy.Four stars given as wasn't happy about 1 onion ring counting as an item, even though yes it is only one item, where do you stop One bean They cost peanuts so two should be given. Would love to sample the lunch options next time I'm back in Stockport.

The food is great, very tasty. I've been in for breakfasts and dinners and they're both good quality at really good prices. Particularly I would say to nip in at dinnertime. They've got a bit choice of things to have, I really like the salt n pepper chips, can't get enough of them. If they're not on when you're on but normal chips are then you can ask them to put the salt n pepper stuff on them for you. Just a little secret from me to you. I haven't purchased any actual meat from them because I'm allergic to cooking real proper food but it all looks good quality. They have a section too near the entrance where they sell special seasonings and stuff which I would recommend having a look at. I've had vastly different experiences with the staff but only one where I'd say it was actually bad. Most of the time it's either fine or they've been super friendly above and beyond so I'm more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt. I will say sometimes especially around dinnertime it can get very busy and it's tough to tell where the line starts.
