For my VEGETARIANS AND VEGANS - This Vegan Cafe (Newtown’s First) is an amazing food experience. The smoothies choices are delicious (and healthy which is a great added bonus). Everything looks so fresh and green (no pun intended), and the service is very friendly. If you’re stopping by for a quick bite or want a quick refresher, this is the place to check out — and it’s all vegan!

I’ve been a long time customer of this place prior to 2020. Any chance I was willing to drive 40 mins just for a smoothie I would. As a strict organic gluten free sugar free soy free vegan with many food allergies going out is often a chore. I loved this place. But I have noticed a change in decor it seems more cold and the pre bottled juices seem to be diluted or sat for way too long and separated. When Kelly was the owner it seemed warmer in the store. Altho the smoothies and smoothie bowls still seem to be the same quality. Just a bit sad about the bottled juice. But I’m glad this place still exists and support this business as much as I can. It’s the only place I can go and feel “normal” when I order. Also they seemed to change the bowl container to some sort of plastic. I much rather the papery ones more eco friendly which matters to me. But I definitely still recommend this place to everyone.

I just want to say since new owner ship they never pick up their phone when they are supposed to be open. It’s a far drive and I want to make sure they are open. This has happened multiple times. Just checking hours since the seasons have changed. But apparently no one answers.

Deliciously fresh food. Wow. Light, lean meals for on-the-go or casual stops. I ordered the Bee-nana toast. Thick, soft sprouted bread with a healthy serving of peanut butter, cinnamon, banana and honey. This was filling by itself. I also ordered the Tropical Dream Smoothie and the Natural Energy Smoothie; light, flavorful and smooth. I would 100% recommend.

Food meets nourishment behind the doors of Greenstraw. This local eatery was founded by a holistic health coach and mom, who believes in the power of food to restore our bodies.

Their Matcha Bowl is a delight, a green powerhouse made with almond milk, banana, mango, and matcha. Toppings like a sprinkle of matcha, drizzle of honey, and house-made granola elevate it with sweetness and crunch.

Greenstraw sources the highest quality ingredients: organic produce, local farms, and imported nuts for freshness and taste. Beyond bowls, they offer smoothies, juices, soups, and sandwiches—a one-stop shop for healthy cravings.

Whether you're a health enthusiast, busy parent, or food lover, Greenstraw is a must-visit. Treat yourself to their Matcha Bowl, smoothie, or countless other items and experience taste and nourishment.

Maybe I pick odd times, but every time I go it’s fairly dead in the store. I would swear it’s closed. Their drinks are pretty good but their food is meh. I know that’s just a small option but it takes a whole board. I’m glad they only do one wrap. I was warn carrying it and I wondered why. I’ve carried wraps home before. If it was a door dasher, I would’ve gotten the same mess! It’s unavoidable if not eaten right away. I paid $13 for a wrap. Why doesn’t it come wrap? It’s absurd to purchase this mess.

We've been a couple times and glad to see a 100% vegan spot in Newtown. They have tasty offerings, but the 3-star rating is because: 1) it's overpriced, even for Newtown 2) they have a cool array of vegan packaged snacks, NONE of which have prices on them (yesterday, I would have bought something, but didn't because no prices annoy me, so that's lost revenue) 3) wasteful policies, e.g. if you want some water you have to use a huge plastic cup instead of a glass. Not a terrible spot, but it could be so much better. Especially the no-prices-on-packaged things is really rude to customers. Fix that please!

Been under new management for quite a while now and still have yet to market themselves as an 100% vegan cafe. Their online ordering is not even half as expansive as their in store options. Their Instagram doesn’t even show their offerings. Maybe it’s bad marketing, but they are really behind on showing Newtown customers what is different and new under this management.

The bowls are good but they are on the pricy end. We can here and got the nutty one. It was great. The smoothies were good as well.
