Finally managed to visit a Philps when in Cornwall last weekend, having read rave reviews previously. We weren't disappointed, our pasties were full of meat, potato and pepper and not greasy like some. Wonderful pastries on sale as well - see the photo of the 'Elephant's Foot', so huge we had to share it, but surprisingly light on the stomach.

Best Pasties, try the mince ball in puff pastry. Or the Steak Puff Pastry pasty. If you’re more traditional steak short crust. All are delicious. They have veggie and vegan options too.

So delicious! We got the veggie cheese pastie, vegan pastie and the minced meat pastie. The bread/crust/pastry was so crumbly, soft and really just divine..

Had a Steak and Cheese and a Meatball pasty. Both were excellent but the Steak and Cheese was extra special and was packed full, can't wait to try more 🙂

Always running out of meat patties- 2 years ago.
I've been told countless times this one is no where near as good as the other branches, but came again regardless. It was a hit day and they had fresh cream apple turnovers on the counter. I got my meat patty but it wasn't well made or cooked. It was practically raw. OH had a past and the pastry wasn't cooked well either.

Just the best pasties, friendly staff. Saw us headed for the door 5 mins before closing, yet held the door open for us, friendly and welcoming as ever, bless them.
