Very nice, clean butchers shop. Great selection of good meats and bits. Had a rump from here and it was delicious. And today Dec 18th 2024 just picked up some amazing fore rib for boxing day yummy, brilliant joint and great advice on preparing.

Delicious meat, however the new staff are rude, no customer etiquette, sadly neither my family nor myself will be returning after 30+ years. So much for local businesses looking after loyal customers. Shame really.

If you want fresh butchered meat this is the place to get it.. get some Old English sausages while you are there. The best sausage I have had.

I've found the quality good. Roasting leg of pork joints are great and nothing is over the top prices. If you don't mind frozen, you can usually find some more uncommon items in the freezers too.
Great for just a family dinner or buying in bulk.

Me and my partner come here around once a week for steak. We pay around £11-14 for two good size fillet steaks. (Around £10 for 2 sirloin)

In two years, we haven't been able to find better elsewhere. The meat doesn't need anything other than a bit of butter and proper cooking technique. Great product and great service.

I have paid £40 for steak in a restaurant and been disappointed. Never by these guys.

It is with great disappointment I have to give one star after years and three generations of family buying meat all year round and no little then four Christmas hamper per year for the last 20 odd years this will be my last as for the rest of the family too.
At a time of year when family's are getting together and leaving the politics behind for a short while it is with great disgust to pull out your letter and in it you have had to write about brexit you couldn't just let your valued customers have a brexit free Christmas and that is very disappointing for my family and I'm sure many other local customers.

I think you should have your say but not at Christmas I dislike and I'm sure there will be a few thousand people who would feel the same for future keep to what you are good at and leave politics out off it.

All the best from for future I will miss your meat but this is where I draw the line.

Just spoken with a lady on reception who didn't listen to a thing said, when trying to explain spoke over the top, jumped to conclusions and became very agitated and snotty. very bad representation of the company.
