Never met such a genuine and pleasant owner. Mark is always and has always been happy to help with tips and advice, when fishing the incredible lake he has. Every lake incredible for a bite when you master the techniques which I managed to get to grips with over the countless sessions there. Thank you mark for having such a great fishery keep doing what you’re doing.

Walked the lakes the day prior to fishing and the owner was more than accommodating. Spent his time talking me through the lakes and just generally having a nice chat. Returned the next day to fish and unfortunately but as discussed the day prior the top lake was still spawning. Fished the 'puddle' and lost count of the fish caught. Biggest was maybe 9lb but had a great time. Even brought round ice creams for everyone fishing as the weather was glorious. Will definitely be returning next time I'm in Essex could recommend this place highly enough.

Great fishery, something for everyone and very accommodating for kids all all ages of experience/confidence.

Very well kept, well run and very friendly, helpful owner and bailiffs.
Have not had a bad day yet, good stock of Carp & silver fish.
I now need to have a session on my own on the middle lake.

I have just got back from a session at Oakford farm and have just got to let you know about this place
. Calm and beautiful doesn't even get any where near how good this venue is. I've been away from fishing for a good few years, in fact I last fished here ,20 years ago. I thought things mighyt have been difficult as im registered blind but
i do have some sight.When I arrived I was met by Mark the owner who showed me to a swim that was safe and in a very inviting position. He then went about helping me to set up my tackle. He gave some extremely good advice and then waited untill I got my self comfortable before he left. Then the fish started to come, 2/3 lb pounders then about four in the 10,lb range by then I was kept pretty busy with fish and tangles. As if by magic Mark appeared and sorted everything out.He noticed my landing net and said that I needed a larger one after I told him of the difficulty I had with the bigger fish, and went and got one for me. Good job he did as my next fish was an absolutely gorgeous
15 lb fish that decided he didn't want to be caught and led me a merry dance untill I had him on the bank. The day couldn't have been any better I even had little mate, a curly little mutt who sat with me while I fished, although i think he was more interested in the little squares of luncheon meat bait I had and of course with a face like that how could I refuse him a little treat.As I have said the venue the atmosphere and fishing were absolutely brilliant but I don't think it would have been anywhere near as good if it wasn't for Mark who went out of his way to look out for me, he went above and beyond to make sure I had a good days fishing. If you've never fished this venue then you are missing out on a fabulous day out that you need to put on you're "to do" list.

Had a great family day fishing and picnicking at Oakford..... fished the top lake and caught some some nice carp
Mark the proprietor is a lovely bloke and cannot do enough to ensure you have a great day...

Had a brilliant time.
I believe the mans name is mark( i may be wrong) Absolute top bloke couldn't do enough to help. Plus was full of other anglers who where very kind and helpful

I was looking for a small venue to take my son on his first fishing trip and this came recommended. I called Mark in advance and he was very helpful indeed. We had 15 fish up to 5lb or so from the small lake in a few hours and lost a few as well. We have since been back to the middle lake where we had a smaller number of bigger fish. It is a well stocked, clean and well run venue and Mark is very friendly and helpful.
