Lovely characterful building, great hosting, very welcoming to us and our dogs. ||Peter was very accommodating - he even showed me for a dog walk across the fields that I would never have found!||Our room was spacious and well equipped with sky tv and a mini fridge. The property is old however so don't expect things to be pristine! ||The beautiful cows on the farm were visible from our bedroom window, no noise or smell! The road outside was quite muddy - but that's the countryside for you!||Thanks again Peter.

Absolutely fantastic! The hosts are extremely welcoming, the facilities are brilliant and all our stays have been amazing. The farmhouse is set in beautiful surrounding countryside. Very close to Derby. There is absolutely nothing not to like. Keep doing what you're doing. Can't wait for another stay.

Beautiful period property. Our bedroom was very clean and well presented with a beautiful peacock blue colour theme and a nod to the dairy farm next door. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The location is amazing to say that you are so close to the city.

Great old farmhouse and a lovely welcome from Pete, who made sure we were settled and knew where everything was. Had a walk down the lane with our dogs, and it was lovely in moonlight. It was amazing that we were so close to Derby, and yet we were in farmland,
Rooms comfortable and so was the bed, only stayed one night as it was a flying visit, but much better then an Ibis etc for the same price. Thank you ?

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Mackworth House Farm. Al and Peter were excellent hosts being both friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The surrounding countryside was very pretty with lots to see and do nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Where can I start the greeting on arrival from peter was so warm and friendly we felt relaxed and comfortable the room was amazing with our own private bathroom, robes provided, delicious fresh milk has its working dairy farm, a good selection of chocolate, coffee, tea and fruit teas. And biscuits. |Will definitely be staying again

We had a lovely 2 night stay. We had the Amber suite, a large clean comfortable room. Comfy bed and a lovely outlook over the garden. Its very quiet, we couldn't even hear the cows mooing. parking on site.
Lots of hot water with a good shower and nice towels. A fridge, with milk provided, a good selection of teas, coffee and sugar.
Its a delightful area, lots to see and do, with fabulous countryside and big skies. A good continental btreakfast is available and Peter was a delightful host and we hope to visit again.

Beautiful house. My husband and I were only staying for the night, but we're now finding reasons to come to Derby, just to stay here again and enjoy it more.
Warm welcome, lovely room, overlooking the garden and the cows. Feels tucked away from the rest of the world that is actually only round the corner.
