Enticing Escape for Nature Lovers and Budding Farmers

This farm offers a unique experience for nature lovers and those seeking a taste of farm life. While the property might appear slightly unkempt, with an older gentleman managing it single-handedly, it maintains a certain rustic charm.

The day we visited, the farm buzzed with activity despite its unpolished appearance. Visitors enjoyed picking strawberries and other berries, while some browsed the selection of nursery plants.

We opted for the strawberry picking, and while navigating the overgrown patches added an unexpected layer of adventure, it did detract from the experience. A little more maintenance would undoubtedly elevate the overall appeal of the farm.

Why You Should Visit:

Despite the slightly neglected state, the farm holds a certain charm and offers a heartwarming glimpse into the life of a dedicated farmer. If you're looking for a quintessential farm experience and a chance to support a local grower, this farm is definitely worth a visit.

Bonus: For those with a green thumb and a love for the outdoors, volunteering your time to help maintain the farm could be a rewarding and unique way to spend a day.

Although the directions on apple and Google maps took us to the farm next door the owner was so lovely. We opted to pick some raspberries and some blackcurrants as all of the strawberries had been picked which wasn’t an issue for us at all as raspberries are our favourite.

We did end up getting a bit lost in the fields but we found our way eventually and there were soo many juicy raspberries and blackcurrants. The prices were really decent too. A calming atmosphere and beautiful nostalgic place to take your children or pick fruit with a loved one.

I can’t wait to make cheesecakes, pies and jam with the goodies picked. Me and my husband will definitely be coming back for more. Lots of memories made.

Doesn't seem to actually be functioning. We drove up, tried following directions to car park but ended up by greenhouses. No one around until we knocked on what seems like an abandoned bungalow and were told there were no strawberries, but there were raspberries. Payment is either check or cash, so we decided to leave it for a different time.

A fantastic place to visit. I have been twice and each time have picked so much fruit that we have made jam on both occasions. Depending on what time of year you go different fruit will be in season, it's always worth going to the desk before you go picking as the guy is very knowledgeable and will tell you where's best to go. In the weather we've been having I would certainly recommend wearing suncream and a hat as it can get very hot. If you're picking raspberries I would also pack a long-sleeve t-shirt and trousers as the nettles are quite high and will stop you picking a lot of the fruit otherwise. There is decent size car park but during the peak season it does get rather busy and the best of the picking is normally in the morning. The price is very reasonable and there is such a good selection of fruit, veg and flowers/hanging arrangements I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Lovely strawberries. Fresh and juicy. The older lady there that works in the greenhouse is very helpful and will give you information on where to find the best strawberries. Very reasonably priced as well. We got two big punnets for under £10.

The other negatives I'd say are that the fields are a little bit overgrown and the driveway down to the farm needs resurfacing. Apart from that, we really enjoyed our day.

The place may be great, but I wish they could be accurate with their opening times. On Google they say that they work on Sundays and when we came they were closed. There were many cars, people like us, who were mislead by their website. There was nothing besides a written sign on the board "closed till Monday" so no idea on how they really operate.

I also tried to ring their phone for a few days and it hasn't been picked up once.

Really enjoyed our trip to Pearsons. Paul was very lovely and everything was so straight forward. There are sign posts everywhere so you know where you're going, and plenty parking. Prices are very reasonable and everything is really good quality. We bought strawberries, gooseberries, black currents, potatoes and some home grown honey. It was all beautiful. There's something to pick all year round making it a good family activity. We will be back later in the year.

Went for strawberry picking and there was no strawberries but wasn't informed of that till we got there.

Then while we were there the instructions we were given to find each field was extremely unclear and I ended up having to follow strangers to find anything.
