Liked: Fantastic large sized pitches, park whichever way you want as well. Everything you need is on the pitch!

Immaculate facilities and a very clean and well kept site. Beautiful old buildings too.

Excellent WiFi at the pitch that actually works really well (unlike some places I’ve been!) using proper IT grade outdoor kit on the actual pitch post itself.

Liked: Great to have all facilities on the pitch itself. The facilities building was great with really clean toilets/showers. Kitchen with cooker/microwave and free washing machine and a comfy lounge with tv a lovely added bonus

Disliked: Very near to a busy road, however we were out during day so didn’t bother us. Quiet at night though. Pub is quite a walk. Not much to do without driving

Liked: The location and facilities are fantastic. The site is a short drive away from Buxton and Bakewell.

The shower, kitchen facilities are fantastic and access to a communal lounge is a bonus.

Disliked: Pitch 16 and 17 are a bit too close but luckily there was no one in pitch 17. I don’t think I would like to stay on one of these pitches if both occupied.

Liked: Well maintained site with great toilet and shower facilities. Beautiful views. Lounge area and kitchen with sinks, fridge, cooker, kettle.
Village pub and bus stop within walking distance. Close to Buxton.

Disliked: Road noise and no grassy areas by pitches.

Liked: Fantastic facilities, very clean and warm. Location very good for touring in Peak District. Pitches very good too.

Disliked: Quite a way from local village so Local pub about 30 mins away...but we went twice so no big deal.
Snow warning but owners didn't grit the sloping entrance to the site. My van (and others) couldn't make it out because of overnight snow/ice so had to get help from others. Shame

Liked: This is our returning visit. We chose a larger hardstanding pitch this time, pitch 9 and it was great.

We even had a full 3 course Christmas dinner in our camper van.

Saw some lovely clear night skies this visit.

Nice walk to Dovedale stepping stones and Bakewell

Liked: Really lovely, modern, quiet and well maintained site. Very clean, with great facilities and lovely wide pitches. The toilets and shower rooms were lovely and warm.
Didn't get to see the immediate local area as we the weather was horrendous so didn't get any walks in, but visited Bakewell and Buxton which were only 10-15 mins drive away.

Liked: Great campsite, very clean and well looked after, facilities are 5*. We had a 2 night stop over as we were tackling the dragons back on the sat and wanted a site near by. We had pub dinner at the church inn on the Friday that was only a 20/30 min walk down the road then after our long walk on Saturday we ordered takeout and sat and watched TV in the lounge room with a couple of drinks which was nice to unwind.
All 5 of us would highly recommend staying here, there is even a nice cottage you can hire also that looks amazing.
