Liked: Lovely peaceful site, had lots of space not close to other campers. Owner very nice & helpful. Not far from lots of things to do so a perfect base if you want the best of both. Basic but more than functional facilities. Shower/toilets/washing up. Loads of space for children to run around and play. Will definitely visit again.

Disliked: Very short timer on shower which made it hard to shower with kids & no temperature control. Very small issue. Our pitch was a little uneven however the field is very big and further down the pitches are apparently a bit more even. This would quite a walk to shower/toilets/washing up especially if you had small children but perfect if this isn't an issue for you. Many people either drove to them or rode bikes. Again a tiny tiny issue and not sure how many kids stay there but a small play park set would be ideal for kids & there would be space for this

Liked: Facilities were clean and exactly what we would need. Site was peaceful and the sky at night was just gorgeous as no light pollution. Easy assess to Dorchester itself. Friendly host and all in all a great stay, if we are ever back this way we will definitely be staying again ?

Liked: Beautiful little farm very quiet and clean. Goats and sheep on the farm which was lovely. We will definitely be coming back.

Disliked: Only electric hook up if you stay in a bell tent but it was really nice to get away from electronics and social media for a while.

Liked: Loved how open it was, how friendly and helpful Ness was. It was nice being on a farm and seeing the animals in a quiet location. The fire pit was amazing.

Disliked: maybe the grass was a bit long but on general there was nothing I disliked! It was a lovely stay.

Liked: Thorncombe Farm offered an ideal place to stay after a busy day of sight seeing. It was easy to find, a 30 minute scenic drive from Durdledoor and Weymouth surrounded by countryside. We particularly liked waking up to see the sheep in the field next to us and seeing the goats roaming around.
We opted to stay on the furthest field away from facilities because it was so pretty, but there were pitches nearer.
Ness was extremely welcoming and let us choose our spot!

Liked: Lovely, lovely lovely place to be free! Gorgeous views, Really relaxed atmosphere, Everything worked and the shower was surprisingly fab!

Awesome campsite with clean facilities, welcoming hosts and good sized pitches. Surrounded by wonderful views of woodland and fields with the added bonus of the goats to greet you every time you pass them by! So many things nearby, we stayed five nights, leaving with plenty more to see, we will be back! Highly recommended

Liked: We loved our stay at Thorncombe Farm. The tents and beds were comfortable and well equipped, Vanessa was friendly and helpful, and there was lots of space for the children to play. We all had a great time and didn’t want to leave. The goats in the adjoining field were a bonus and added to the feeling of being miles away from everyday life, for us.

Disliked: Nothing
