This smallish arboretum and nursery is an RHS partner garden. This is my 2nd visit here (first in the autumn) , and I can say that considering the volume of rain it's has hadto deal with its looking resplendent. There are parts slightly squelchy/muddy but you can pick your way around those few spots. The arboretum is just over 30 years old and it is amazing what has been achieved. Staff and owners are polite, helpful and informative. Highly recommended.

This is a hidden gem. The arboretum cost £5 to enter. It is bigger than it first appears. Although it isn't fully mature, it was very refreshing, and I would very much recommend it. It is quite near a main road, so there is traffic noise, but it was lovely to walk around. Somewhere you would bring your mum or gran.

An attractively laid out, relaxing, pleasantly shady woodland garden - full of interesting trees and shrubs from all over the world. Plants are well labelled and fascinating extra information is given for many of them. This is a garden for those who love plants in detail, rather than sheets of bright colour. The staff are friendly and helpful. Access with a wheelchair is OK if you can manage slightly uneven grass paths and the weather has been reasonably dry. Generous opening hours allow enjoyment of the garden free from crowds - then there is a well kept specialist tree and shrub nursery to explore.

Hidden Wonder. Bought several trees and other plants from here over several visits. The staff are always very friendly, helpful and super knowledgeable.

Update: recently also walked around the gardens. Very beautiful and serene. Many trees and shrubs have informative descriptions. Lovely place just to go for a walk or sit and enjoy the scenery.

This is a nursery for all true gardeners, the owner and staff are incredibly knowledgeable and the range of plants are unusual and varied with a brilliant choice of specialist plants. The arboretum is fantastic to walk around and see what the plants and trees will look like after a few years of growth. There is a small fee of £5 for adults to enter the arboretum or you can pay £10 and go as many times as you like for 12 months. The nursery is free to go around and the staff will happily advise and help with any questions you might have.

I have been buying trees and other plants from Bluebell for years because the quality and the packaging are always exemplary. The results in my garden speak for themselves. On the odd occasion when there is an issue with an order, they have called me in advance to confirm that I want to proceed. Add to this the fact that they often have interesting varieties that I cannot find elsewhere and you have a perfect scenario!

What a lovely place! We found it on a sunny day and it was a real joy to amble round. Huge variety of trees from all around the world with really some interesting snippets of information thrown in. I learned a lot and felt very calm at the end of my visit. I imagine you might need shoes suitable for muddy patches after a stretch of wet weather.

Do you like trees? Rare trees? Beautiful trees?! Then this is a real treat. There's a little road noise which can't be helped but otherwise a beautifully kept and organised collection, lovely staff, and a fab toilet In a shed! 9 acres and nursery
