Absolutely idyllic place. We went for a private wine tasting for my dad's birthday, and we couldn't have asked for more. We had a little tour of the vineyard (I recommend wearing comfy shoes as the soil is v soft), and then tasted a few wines (with a lovely cheese board too) which were all delicious. John, our host, was so lovely. I'd really recommend it!

A very uneven gravel road to the site but once there it was a delight. Grass pitches some with elec, and lovely views over the fields. Communal toilet and washing facilities, adults and children. One shower, two toilets and one sink so can get a bit hectic at weekends, or school holidays but very quiet on weekdays. No children play area so make your own amusements. Elsan emptying, grey waste and drinking water, though drinking water pipe is a piece of old garden hose so remove it before filling your water container. Various rubbish bins for general and recycling. Thoroughly recommended just watch the potholes on the way in.

Quiet, peaceful and away from the rat race. Perfect retreat for a few days relaxation. The free range eggs are also amazing. Didn't get round to trying the wine from the vineyard but definitely will next time. The owners Elizabeth and John are very welcoming and pretty much just leave you to it which is great. Will definitely be coming back

I'll be honest and say upfront that the owners are very good friends of my aunt and uncle, who booked the place for us. That said, the accommodations and the hosts John and Liz were way above our expectations. A Grade II building that has been thoughtfully and lovingly restored will not disappoint the most discriminating traveler. The setting is beautiful, with a large, well-maintained lawn and a view of the vineyard. What was particularly nice about the place was that it was essentially an entire unit, with cooking facilities, a living room, and upstairs a spacious bedroom and modern bathroom. True the kitchen was small, but it was enough to prepare some meals instead of eating out all the time. The owners have placed homey artifacts around the place, such as a old helmet, toby mugs, dishes and some vintage furniture, so you really feel like you're staying in a house rather than a rented unit.

I'll say the only negative, and certainly not the fault or responsibility of the owners, was the entry roads to the property. The turnoff from the main road was onto a private lane with many potholes and patches of uneven pavement. This led to a gravel lane that kicked up a lot of dust, although it was much smoother than the paved road leading to it. If anyone from Linton reads this, pressure the council or the owners of the road to fix it and the stay would have been perfect!

We had a lovely friendly welcome from the owner as we pulled into the grounds. Such a gorgeous spot to pitch up. Loads of flat grass, birds to watch, free range eggs and wine to buy.
The facilities are clean and tidy with a decent shower.
One for the contact list and visit in the future.
