What a fantastic experience delivered by the most fantastic team. Mike is just a superstar, and they really know how to brew the perfect pint. Favourites included Umbongo, Pineapple beer and the black forest stout. If you are there on a BBQ day, definitely try a Wildcraft burger, so delicious with fresh garnishes. Perfect for a gathering, will definitely go back. Thank you Mike and team!

A super independent brewery with an imaginative range of beers to suit all tastes. I love that they include foraged ingredients such as elderflower, nettles and medlars and a big plus for me is that the beers sate vegan and gluten free. Excellent customer service, too.

Must admit I was slightly skeptical about the claims about the longevity of their live 5l polypins (up to 8-12 from opening) but I may be wrong.
The box is stored at a controlled temperature of 10° and attached to a beer engine.
Nearly two weeks after opening it's still in fantastic condition.
Great selection of interesting beers, reasonably priced, and fast delivery.
Can't recommend highly enough.

We made a last minute decision with some friends to venture a short drive outside of Norwich proper to visit the Wildcraft Brewery (book ahead on their website). Being a fan of the beer and their mission of using foraged ingredients, it was a longtime coming.

Firstly, I'd like to comment on the accepting and inclusive attitude as the owner, Mike, was very accommdating by allowing us to bring our nearly 3yr old daughter (we asked a head of time). Thankfully she was well behaved the entire time and they even opened up a gate to allow her closer access to the goats on the property for amusement.

The brewery itself, is located down a gravel drive that can easily be passed by if you aren't looking out. Pro tip, there's a metal beer cask where you need to turn! As stated in the title, the brewery is currently operated in a 800-900 sq ft-ish barn that has been loaded up with storage, chillers, and of course, all the stuff a small scale brewer might need to "git 'er done".

We were met by Mike, and our group of 10 stood by and attentively listened to his story and description of his process. Along the way being offered a plethora of choices for tasting (very generous tasting so please keep that in mind if driving!!!).

Being small, the "tour" doesn't ocnsist of much other than hanging out in the main brewing room and having an informal chat. Please keep your expectations reasonable as you're not visiting a large multi-national brewer with a huge campus you have to hike around. Literally, a small, old farm barn. Let's just say, filled with character 🙂

It was a pleasureable experience that though I wouldn't recommend bringing a child to, if you have no other option at least it's doable. Great conversation, and just a great time hanging out with like minded folks and the brewer himself.

*** Note: Wildcraft is looking at relocating in the near future, so the location may change.
