My family and I love visiting Barnsdale. We’re delighted by the variety, each miniature garden has something to offer in its planting, design and construction. A great place to come for inspiration with your own home garden project. Staff friendly & knowledgeable. Be sure to stop by their nursery and cafe!

As someone who misses Geoff, it has taken me far too long to visit Barnsdale. A relaxing couple of hours seeing his gardens and the long time home of Gardeners' World has been a lovely way to spend an afternoon. We visited in mid-August, after the summer peak and as things turn to late Summer/early autumn, probably after its best display. We loved the day, but knocked off a star as it was, along with the tea rooms, a bit on the pricy side. Other than that, the staff were great, friendly and happy to chat. The gardens were great and I'm very happy to have visited.

Nice day out in my opinion a bit pricey !
£12 no concession elderly/disabled
Took disabled mother on mobility scooter most of garden was accessible .Few parts were not we were advised on entry which parts .Not many disabled parking bays.
Disabled toilets and cafe accessible .Good food and coffee lovey outdoor seating area.
The garden is made up of individual gardens in my option the plants were a-little bit repetitive in some areas . I would have liked to see more gardens which stood out as being very different due to plant selection and not just landscaping like the hot / Mediterranean and the Japanese /oriental garden.
Worth a visit and will properly go back at a different time of year printed off the email when joining newsletter online and get it stamped on entry and get half price entry next visit .Join the tea room email list and get offers each month too!!
There was a Small garden centre a bit expensive didn't stock all the plants in the garden which was a bit disappointing .

A really lovely place to visit, just right for couple of hours of walking around enjoying gardens. Lots of small gardens with different themes, plenty of benches to sit and admire the views. A nice little cafe and shop and plant nursery too.

So much to see, really need the whole day to do it justice. Well laid out and suitable adjustments made in light of safe distancing etc. But all very easy to follow and people respectful. Many many different styles of gardens to wander round. Great tea rooms, well priced meals, big portions. Well stocked nursery. Lovely place to visit.

It was lovely to finally get to Geoff Hamilton’s gardens. I have a bit of a thing about roses being dead headed, apart from that it is lovely. The cafe is nice and I enjoyed my vegan burger. The waitress, Paige, is great. Worth a visit.
