My parents needed some work done on their house which my Dad can not longer do himself. They came and were very respectful of his knowledge and experience and quoted a realistic price for the work. They kept in contact with both myself and my parents when they were unable to start due to the weather, and completed the work efficiently and to a very high standard. They also came and fixed my leaking guttering and the charge was a hell of a lot less than what I had been previously quoted, and again, completed to a high standard. I have a few more jobs that I need doing and I will definitely be contacting them.

I put in an offer on a house several months ago, and there was a damp problem that was supposed to be fixed with french drains/damp proofing repair, per the survey. The previous owners didn't have the info for the original dpc provider, nor did they wish to do any work prior to closing. We negotiated some money off the price of the house based on a quote for these repairs from a licensed contractor.

I saw how good the reviews were for LuPo, and got a quote. Andy seemed lovely, and told me prior to starting work that I just needed a cavity clean as opposed to the suggested methods of remediation on the household survey. He further said he guaranteed the work if the damp issues came back.

Fast forward to after closing. Andy and the LuPo crew get to work, and I assume everything is fine - and have flooring and painting contractors come in afterwards now that (I think) the damp issue is resolved. The painting and flooring are completed - but when I move in about five weeks after Andy/LuPo have supposedly fixed the damp issue, the problem is exponentially worse - and the walls are growing mold beards in places.

I sent Andy the pics and he said he would fix it. I had to chase him to come and look at it, and he tried to a.) tell me that I should get the person who did the original, failed dpc course to fix it - despite the above circumstances that he was aware of regarding the situation, b.) say that it was just the house being vacant that lead it to have such a horrible damp problem, and that c.) that the reason he suggested the cavity clean (which he only did on half the property anyway and didn't admit until this issue cropped up,) was because the survey said that a dpc course had been done in the recent past - which is a demonstrable lie. I told him that I put my trust in his professional opinion, and needed him to honor his guarantee to fix it. He said he'd have a think about it and left.

I wrote him the next morning asking how he planned to fix these issues, and that I need to have a healthy environment to live in. I also noted that I paid painting/flooring contractors to come in based on his professional opinion, and now some of that work will need to be redone as a result of his mistake. Andy then got aggressive and rude, calling me "difficult" and half-suggesting using caustic soda on the moldy spots/using heat to dry it out, when we both know the issue is the rising damp from the cavity below. I called him on this issue - as well as his lies - and said I wanted him to either fix it or refund me what it would take for someone else to do so.

Andy has completely ghosted me since then, and I have had to pay other contractors to fix LuPo's mistakes and utter incompetence. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!

I had a great experience with Andy. He created an opening for a new franch door and altered some window spaces, as well as demolishing a brick lean to. He completed the work ahead of schedule and to a good quality.
