Fantastic holiday in bo peep cottage lots of toys in the cottage our LO age 2.5 absolutely loved coming back from a busy day to relax and play with the toys. Swimming pool on site is clean and warm a great addition. Hosts are always kind and friendly. Would definitely recommend and would like to return

We are here right now so that shows the WiFi works. What a unique set up my kids are loving feeding the animals and the play areas which are great. Lucy the host is great with children. The swimming pool (a forever pool) great for the little kids and jacuzzi are great. The animal feeding is such a highlight and the accommodation is really nice. Space for family and grandparents or 2 families to share depending on numbers. Little garden in our cottage was the setting for us having Lucy our host make us a dinner which was amazing the salad was incredible. This place if you have small children with only 2 families at a time is a quiet slice of paradise with a really casual and caring and multi talented host. Just amazing.

We spent a week in the Bo Peep cottage with our two children (2.5 years old and 3 months) and it was just brilliant. The cottage was so well equipped for families, with a high chair, potty, baskets of toys, bath toys, kiddie plates, a bouncer... you don't need to bring anything with you! The bedroom for my toddler was amazing, with a small single built-in bed so he couldn't roll out and also a bunk bed designed as a tree! (There is also a washing machine and dishwasher).||We met Lucy every morning at 9am for the animal feeding, which my son just adored. He fed geese, ducks, chicken, goats, cows and even lambs with milk bottles, as well as collecting eggs! Lucy teaches the little ones to be independent so by the end of the week he could do it all by himself. A tractor ride and horse cart ride were highlights, as was swimming in the indoor pool every day.||I would also recommend ordering dinner from Lucy if you can, we had it for two nights and it was delicious.

My kids loved it so much, they still have fond memories of it! They loved feeding the goats, gathering eggs with Lucy, and even checking out the pig pen was cool. Lucy’s cooking is outstanding - do order any meals offered! The rooms in the main farmhouse were very clean and lovely, and the kids loved the bunk beds. We visited in 2017. We hope to be back!

We’ve visited Higher Lank Farm twice now and have already booked for next year! We’ve generally never wanted to holiday in the same place twice (too much of the world to explore etc...) but I cannot fault the hospitality shown by Lucy and her family and the experience our children have. ||They adore the animal feeding, getting really involved and it’s amazing to see their confidence grow throughout the week. With the trailer rides, pony rides and Lucy’s amazing teas and cakes, there’s something different everyday. The play areas and lovely pool mean there’s really no need to leave the farm, but we love exploring and there’s so much to do close by. ||Our children are 5 and 3 and, despite some lovely family holidays in Spain and France, they both categorically decided that Higher Lank Farm is their favourite. Their enjoyment made it relaxing and a lot of fun for us too so definitely our best holiday yet.

I stayed at Higher Lank with my 2 grandchildren for the first time 3 years ago. Lucy's very generous welcome tea is amazing.... that chocolate cake!
We stayed in a well proportioned en-suite room in the farmhouse. The breakfasts were amazing, the kiddie teas were tasty. My grandchildren loved the food. I enjoyed a dinner one evening too once I'd settled the children. This was safe and easy to do in the farmhouse.
Feeding the animals is an experience my grandies loved. They couldn't wait to get started in the mornings. I loved seeing their confidence grow as they got to know the animals. ..... from collecting eggs to feeding cheeky Ruby the goat and letting the grumpy geese out of their house. A fabulous parklike play area kept the children busy for ages.
The children loved it so much we went back again the following year for another week. This time we stayed in the cottage. Very warm and welcoming and so well equipped!
We're heading back again this year at the plea and request of the grandies who have such fond memories of "Farmer Lucy" and their stay at Higher Lank! Highly recommend!

We had another gorgeous week at Higher Lank Farm. The little ones had such a great time feeding the animals every morning. We’ve felt completely safe during our entire stay, as Lucy goes through tremendous efforts to ensure everybody remains safe (under covid-19 circumstances) and the accommodation is immaculate. Lucy really does go the extra mile to ensure everybody is happy and treats her visitors like her own family.
We can’t wait to go again next year!

We have just got back from a week at Higher Lank farm. We stayed on a week when the owners were away on holiday and were looked after instead by their friends, Linda and Andrew. They took us round each morning to feed the animals which our children (age 1 and 4) loved! It was also a highlight for my husband and I - I think we looked forward to it as much as they did! Linda and her family were really friendly and put the children at ease straight away, encouraging them to join in with the activities they were interested in. We got fully involved with feeding chicks and ducks, collecting eggs, feeding pigs, petting and feeding goats, bottle feeding lambs and feeding the ponies. As an extra bonus they also had a ride on Millie the pony and went on a cart ride. ||As well as the animals, it was great to have use of the swim shed and the outdoor play areas. We enjoyed a delicious high tea on the day we arrived and our cottage had lots of child friendly touches. ||Overall it was a brilliant family holiday and we will hopefully be back again in the future!
