David and Lanna have always been extremely responsive to our requests and have always gone above and beyond to meet our schedule.

Service and quality have been second to none - highly recommended!

3D Cakes have made birthday cakes for us since 2017. Sometimes we have ordered cakes already in their repertoire but we also come up with our own ideas which they turn into fantastic, eye-catching designs. And the cakes are very delicious !

We got married at Edinburgh Zoo and had a specific idea for an animal themed cake but wasn’t sure if this was something that could realistically be achieved! The giraffes at the Zoo hold a special place in our hearts and we planned to feed them after our wedding ceremony. We therefore had ideas for a giraffe themed wedding cake which was also inspired by the giraffes statue beside the giraffes enclosure.

We searched online and came across 3D Cakes and were blown away by the standard and realism of the cakes they had created!

We live in a different city but this proved to be no issue. We organised a phone consultation with David which absolutely exceeded our expectations. We tried to articulate our ideas to David and he sketched as we spoke, sending photos of his sketches and ideas in real time via WhatsApp. We couldn’t believe that he literally brought our ideas to life right in front of our eyes - he understood the assignment from the get go! From the portfolio and sketches of our cake alone, we knew that this cake was going to be amazing. We ordered there and then! The cake was over our budget, however, for such a special occasion and for the time, work, effort and craftsmanship that goes into the cake, it was absolutely worth it!

3D Cakes delivered our cake to the venue so there was no added stress of picking it up ourselves. The cake was outstanding, absolutely breathtaking. We were in awe of it and could never have imagined how amazing it would be. It was one of the main topics of conversation on the day - and quite rightly so! Everyone said that they had never seen a cake like it before, a real work of art - to the extent it almost felt like an act of vandalism to cut into it! But when we did, my goodness did it taste amazing too!

David and the team at 3D Cakes brought our visions to life and made our wedding cake dreams come true. The most gorgeous and special cake we will likely ever have in our lifetime. Memories that we will cherish forever.

Best bespoke cakes you’ll ever order!!! I’ve had 3D Cakes do many of my children’s birthday cakes, always to quite a specific theme and colour scheme, and they never ever disappoint. They are always exquisitely made, with so much detail and always better than I had originally planned. And they taste amazing! Can highly recommend and will definitely order from them again in the future.

Thank you very much for your excellent work of art. 100% successful project. Full marks with distinction for David and 3 D cake team. Project: Ferrari 20" L x 9" W. plus 50 cup cakes. Meeting and agreed 4 weeks in advance. It was delivered a day before the party. The project took approx. 40 hours (4 days?) to complete, then delivery to our place. I value people professionalism and expetise plus incredibly complex design. £875.- was well worth money spent if you are looking for finesse and exquisite results. Many people might say, they can do the job, but to which level.! I understand each project can be long hours, high pressure. The 3D cake team did a great job for us as photos shown below. I am sure there are always room for improvement when you are in business.

Krua Thai Cookery School Edinburgh is always looking for exquisite culinary work of art. The 3D cake is certainly pass my expectations. The Ferrai cake was a real talking point among our guests. We ordered a simple wedding cake from 3D cakes with two different fillings. The cake was simple as we requested but at the same time very tasty. Delivery to venue went smoothly too. Would order from them again for sure.

From the moment I took the responsibility of wanting to surprise my wife with our wedding cake I searched so many different kinds.

When I first reached out to 3D cakes they asked about myself and my bride to be so that the cake would be perfect and bespoke. Once I had told them our story the design they put forward was more perfect than I could have imagined. I had to have this design brought to life.

From the first email to the delivery at the venue on our wedding day the communication and commitment to making this cake perfect was amazing. And the cake! not only perfect in design, true to the drawing, but exceptional in flavor and generous in portions.

My only regret was not having the foresight to capture my brides reaction to when she saw it for the first time. It was a cake that was truly us.

Even with searching around in April when my mums big birthday wasn’t until July, I found it really difficult to firstly find any cake makers but then secondly find one that had availability for the date I was wanting it. But David at 3D cakes straight away was very helpful and got me booked in. He made everything so easy and straightforward. I felt he instantly knew what it was I was wanting helping reassure me it would be in line with my vision.
And it definitely did not disappoint when I saw it. It looked amazing 🤩 exactly how I pictured it and wanted in my head. It was loved by all the guests and by my mum too who was very happily surprised as soon as she saw it.
Everyone also thought it tasted delicious. It was Black Forest gateau flavoured (my mum favourite) and it was just lovely. Thank you so much to David and the team at 3D cakes. You really went out of your way to make sure I got what I wanted and nothing was too much to ask. It really made a special day even more special. Much appreciated.
